David Bakhtiari has yet to make his season debut for the Green Bay Packers amid what has been a relatively troublesome rehab process on his knee injury. As it turns out, however, the 30-year-old tackle could actually make his highly-anticipated return to action on Sunday when the Packers take on the Detroit Lions in Week 18.

In a recent interview, Green Bay head coach Matt LaFleur hinted at the possibility of Bakhtiari playing his first game of the campaign on Sunday. According to the 42-year-old shot-caller, he hopes to give Bakhtiari a few reps in on Sunday if he's healthy enough to take the field (h/t Ryan Wood of the Green Bay Press-Gazette):

Bakhtiari suffered a devastating ACL injury towards the end of last season and he has been unable to play for the Packers since. The two-time All-Pro tackle was actually activated from the PUP list as early as Week 10, but a number of setbacks have gotten in the way of his season debut.

Bakhtiari could finally suit up for the Packers on Sunday right before Green Bay heads into the playoffs. The Packers have already secured the top seed in the NFC and their Week 18 matchup against the Lions is essentially meaningless, but for Bakhtiari, it's possible that he makes his much-awaited comeback in this contest.
