The Green Bay Packers have made running back Ty Montgomery available for trade after he cost the team a chance to win Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams, according to Jeremy Bergman of Around the NFL. It's unclear if there is any interest for Montgomery, but it seems like a re-signing this offseason is unlikely.

With 2:05 left in the 4th quarter on Sunday, Montgomery took the kickoff out of the end zone on a kick off and fumbled the ball back to the Rams. The Packers were down by only two at the time and Aaron Rodgers is one of the best ever at the two-minute drill.

Montgomery admitted on Monday that the coaching staff told him not to come out if he was in the end zone, but he said he didn't know where on the field he was, so he decided to take it out.

“I stood where I always stood (and) I had a returnable ball,” Montgomery said via 247 Sports. “So, I made a split-second decision. I don’t know if this is going to land on the goal line. So, I’m not going to take a knee on the goal line, at the half-yard line, and take a chance at putting the game in the refs’ hands. Unfortunately, I ended up fumbling the football. I don’t think we’d be having this conversation if I didn’t fumble the football because we know how good our two-minute offense is. But I’ve never been a guy to completely disobey what I’m being told. I think you can ask a lot of guys in our locker room. That’s not what I do. That’s not the type of man I am. That’s not the kind of person I am.”

The trade deadline is 4 PM ET on Tuesday afternoon.
