Jordan Love is expected to be the heir apparent to Aaron Rodgers for the Green Bay Packers, but he could have an immediate role in his rookie season. Nathaniel Hackett, the offensive coordinator of the Packers, responded to the idea of Love being utilized similarly to Taysom Hill in 2020.

“I think everything’s still so early to tell,” Hackett said, via ESPN's Rob Demovsky. “Haven’t even really gotten to sit in a meeting room at Lambeau. I haven’t gotten to talk with him much or work face to face. I think there’s so much yet to be seen. You never know. Anything can happen.”

While Hackett didn't deny the rumors of using Love in a Hill-like role, he also didn't confirm them. Given that, fans will have to take a wait-and-see approach for how Green Bay plans on deploying Love in 2020 — if they do at all.

Nearly a month ago, the Packers traded up to select Love with the No. 26 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. When the pick was made, many media members and fans alike were scratching their heads on the selection.

Coming out of Utah State, Love is a strong-armed quarterback that is capable of making any throw on the field. However, he still needs to work some kinks out in his game, including his decision-making.

But while he develops, Love could see himself used like Hill, who is a Swiss-Army knife of sorts for the New Orleans Saints. Over the past couple of seasons, Hill has been used as a quarterback, running back, and even tight end.

The Packers' rookie signal-caller is undoubtedly more of a traditional quarterback than Hill. With that being said, Hackett admits that there is a chance — or not — that Love is used in a myriad of ways in 2020.
