Green Bay Packers safety Raven Greene went down with an ankle injury in the second week of the season. That injury put him on the injured reserve, and he has not appeared in a game since then.

However, he's been inching closer to a return, and there was even talk that he could play in the Divisional Round of the playoffs. That won't be happening though, as the Packers will have to face off with the Seattle Seahawks without him.

Greene was not added to the roster on Saturday, which means he is ineligible to play in the game.

Greene would be great for depth purposes. However, the Packers went 13-3 this season. For the most part, they did that without Greene. So clearly they can still win games and get the job done without the safety.

Now, that being said, the Packers are facing one of their toughest challenges of the year. Seattle is 11-5 and has a lot of momentum coming their way after winning their Wild Card round game.

Green Bay had a bye week in the first round, so this will be their first postseason game this year. A lot of the effort will have to go towards shutting down superstar quarterback Russell Wilson. Due to that, a healthy secondary is a must.

Once again, that points to Greene missing. But once again, you could argue that he hasn't really been available all year and the team has done more-than fine in his absence.

The Packers and Seahawks square off on Sunday at 6:40 PM EST. They will play in Green Bay. If the Packers win, maybe Greene will be available in their NFC Championship game.
