We all know that everyone's still high from the incredible spectacle Super Bowl LIV has offered to us, but Vegas is already looking forward to the coming 2020 season. They've already given their predictions on which team will be the favorites to win Super Bowl LV, and the Green Bay Packers are on the shortlist.

The Athletic's Matt Schneidman released the earliest odds on the Super Bowl favorites, and the list looks interesting, to say the least.

The San Francisco 49ers are the heavy favorites to win next year in spite of the fact they blew a 20-10 lead in Miami. Up next are Super Bowl LIV champions Kansas City Chiefs followed by the Baltimore Ravens, Los Angeles Chargers, and the Dallas Cowboys. The Packers, New England Patriots, New Orleans Saints, and Pittsburgh Steelers are at 16/1 odds.

It's definitely interesting that the Chargers are placed ahead of the powerhouses, but this is probably due to the fact that they're favorites to land Tom Brady. If he stays in New England, the Chargers will find their odds slip quickly. The Cowboys are also surprising favorites, but former Packers head coach Mike McCarthy might be able to turn the team around.

Some Green Bay fans will argue that the bookmakers are underestimating the Packers a bit. The fact that they had such a successful season under a rookie head coach like Matt LaFleur only points to a more encouraging ahead for the team. Moreover, Aaron Rodgers still looks like he has a couple of years left in the tank to play top-level football.

Of course, the odds will change once offseason has come and gone and the teams have built their players. If the Packers play their cards right, they might find themselves as the darling of Vegas before the start of the season.
