Kristopher Knox of Bleacher Report recently named the biggest offseason standout for each team, and for the Green Bay Packers, it is Jake Kumerow. Last season, Kumerow was a star of the preseason but suffered an injury and had to be placed on injured reserve.

He did end up coming back late in the season catching eight passes for 103 yards and a touchdown. This offseason Kumerow is picking up where he left off last season and was the talk of OTAs.

One guy who he really has impressed is quarterback Aaron Rodgers who raved about what he has seen after OTAs ended.

“Just little things that he does—I think almost innately—that separates him from a guy you might not trust as much because you know the guy is going to do it right,” Rodgers said, per Jason Wilde of the Wisconsin State Journal. “He’s always going to be in the right spot.”

This isn't the first time that Rodgers has raved about Kumerow. Last year during training camp, Rodgers talked about how he needed to have a more significant role in the offense.

“I think Jake Kumerow has had a fantastic camp. I think you have to spotlight him,” Rodgers said after practice on Aug. 3. “He’s made a ton of plays, did it all spring and summer and now he’s getting reps with me and making a ton of plays. He’s running the right route all the time and making contested catches and putting the ball away. It’s been pretty impressive for a guy from a small school in Wisconsin.”

With the comments that Rodgers has been throwing around about Kumerow, there is no doubt he is going to be looking for him a lot on the field for the Packers.
