Green Bay Packers tight end Jimmy Graham is facing fines for his refusal to talk to the media. Graham is in his first season with the Packers and has recorded 8 receptions for 103 yards so far this year.

According to Rob Demovsky of ESPN, Graham has not talked to the media since July 28, 2018. When he was approached for a statement following his team's recent tie with the Minnesota Vikings, he said he had no time to speak. Graham had no response and walked away when asked if he would rather pay a fine than speak to the media. Failure to comply with the NFL's media policy will result in a $10,000 fine.

Graham seemed upset when he responded to Demovsky's tweet recounting their conversation.

Graham's contempt for the media is nothing new. He wasn't a fan of interviews during the two seasons he was a Seattle Seahawk either. Regardless of his feelings, Jimmy Graham has to abide by the NFL's media policy.

All players are responsible for making themselves available to the media following every game and regularly during the practice week. Star players or players with unusually high media demands must be available to the media outlets that regularly cover their team at least once during that practice week and for required post-game coverage.

While he may not be the star he once was as a New Orleans Saint, Graham will need to find a solution to this dilemma soon. Otherwise, he'll miss out on a lot of money as the season progresses.
