Green Bay Packers tight end Jimmy Graham likely won't be back with the team in 2020, according to Matt Schneidman of The Athletic.

This does not come as much of a surprise, as there was speculation that the Packers could cut Graham last offseason, and doing so this time around would open up $8 million in cap room for Green Bay.

There was a time when Graham was one of the best tight ends in the NFL, but those days are long gone.

Graham is coming off a rather pedestrian 2019 campaign in which he caught 38 passes for 447 yards and three touchdowns, his least productive season since his rookie year.

The Packers signed Graham to a three-year, $30 million deal in March 2018. In his first year with the club, he was a bit more impactful, snaring 55 balls for 636 yards and a couple of scores.

Still, even those numbers paled in comparison to Graham's earlier years.

The 33-year-old, who played his collegiate football (as well as basketball) at the University of Miami, was originally selected by the New Orleans Saints in the third round (95th pick overall) of the 2010 NFL Draft.

He spent the first five seasons of his career with the Saints, making three Pro Bowl appearances while also earning a First-Team All-Pro selection in 2013 after hauling in 86 receptions for 1,215 yards and 16 touchdowns.

In 2015, New Orleans traded Graham to the Seattle Seahawks, where he spent three seasons and notched a couple of Pro Bowl appearances.

The Packers were eliminated by the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship Game last weekend after beating the Seahawks the week before. Jimmy Graham was involved in a controversial play in the fourth quarter of that victory over Seattle.
