Aaron Rodgers can basically do anything he wants in Green Bay. So it was not all that surprising when Packers coach Matt LaFleur announced that Rodgers did not show for OTA's this week.

However, LaFleur reportedly spoke with Rodgers and said that the QB is doing well and that his absence from OTAs is purely voluntary. The quarterback is expected to attend Green Bay's mandatory minicamp in early June.

So what is Aaron Rodgers doing instead?

He and Tom Brady joined the “Inside the NBA” crew to discuss their upcoming golf tournament against Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes. Capital One's “The Match” is scheduled for June 1st. Rodgers and Brady will be taking on Allen and Mahomes in the tournament.

The segment was hilarious between the “Inside the NBA” guys and the veteran QB's.

Nonetheless, Packers fans can rest assured that Rodgers is preparing for more than just golf. He is clearly committed to the Packers after signing a 3-year deal with Green Bay earlier in the offseason.

He shared his high expectations for the Packers' upcoming season on the Pat McAfee show earlier in the offseason as well.

“We’ve got a lot to play for, lot of exciting things. I’m sure that Packer Nation will be wondering why we didn’t take a receiver, or trade up, or what not. You just got to have some faith in the organization. Obviously our defense is going to be really good. And defense wins championships.”

So there is no reason for Green Bay fans to be concerned about Rodgers' absence from OTAs. He is simply enjoying his offseason.
