The offseason is ramping up and we have yet to hear about Aaron Rodgers' decision. He could stay with the Green Bay Packers, ask for a trade, or call it a career and retire. However, during his visit at the NFL Combine, head coach Matt LaFleur provides a little inside scoop on Rodgers.

According to Rob Demovsky, Matt LaFleur claims that Aaron Rodgers played “a significant role” in the hiring of Tom Clements. This doesn't guarantee that Rodgers will return to the Packers. However, not being involved in decision-making was part of the reason why so much drama was built up between the superstar quarterback and the organization in the first place.

LaFleur refuses to answer the follow-up question regarding Rodgers' decision to stay with the team. Even so, all signs are pointing towards a return to the Packers. The front office has reconstructed some contracts, moving money around to create necessary cap space for the offseason. It could be used to re-sign Davante Adams, extend Aaron Rodgers, or both.

Although there have been feuds between Aaron Rodgers and the Packers, it seems the two sides have settled their differences. The superstar quarterback could still ask for a trade, but the fact he played a “significant role” in hiring Tom Clements is notable. Actions speak louder than words, and Green Bay has been making decisions with Rodgers in mind.

Keep an eye on Aaron Rodgers, as we should be hearing his decision soon. If he returns to the Packers, Green Bay will be in line to become a Super Bowl favorite once again. If not, then this franchise might have to enter a rebuild sooner, rather than later.
