Aaron Rodgers has yet to make a decision on his future with the Green Bay Packers, and he hasn't really given any indication when he'll announce his plans.

Fortunately, Packers GM Brian Gutekunst hinted that it won't be long now before fans hear from Rodgers. According to the Green Bay exec, the expectation is the veteran QB will inform the team of his decision before free agency opens on March 16. That means there is a possibility Rodgers makes his decision in the next couple of days.

“I would hope so, yeah,” Gutekunst said on Rodgers possibly telling them his plans before the free agency period, per ESPN. “That's obviously the start of the new league year. There's a lot of decisions that have to be made before that. So that would be helpful. I would think we would know something before then.”

Of course the free agency is a critical period for NFL teams, and regardless whether Aaron Rodgers decides to stay or ask to be traded, his decision will be important on the path the team will want to take.

If he wants to stay, the Packers are expected to do everything in their power to keep their core free agents like Davante Adams while also looking to get reinforcements for another Super Bowl bid.

Meanwhile, if Rodgers decides to stay, they are likely to shift their focus on free agency and start accumulating assets to start a full rebuild with Jordan Love as QB.

The Packers have expressed their desire to keep Rodgers, but it's really up to him if he still wants to play for the team or not.
