The 2017 season ended in disappointing fashion for Green Bay Packers star quarterback Aaron Rodgers after seeing his playing time limited by the second fracture collarbone of his career that forced him to miss a significant chunk of the year.

In the months that have followed, Rodgers has steadily improved in his recovery from the injury that has him ready to take the field for a resurgent 2018 campaign. According to Jack Wepfer of Packers Wire, Pro Bowl defensive lineman Mike Daniels has voiced that the two-time league MVP is aiming toward putting together a huge comeback season.

“This year, it’s (last year’s ‘revenge tour’) taken up to 11, past 10,” Daniels said, laughing. “It’s going to get pretty ugly for some defenses out there.”

Prior to suffering the broken collarbone, Rodgers was on pace to string together another MVP-caliber campaign that could have led the Packers to another deep playoff run. The 34-year-old could pick up where he left this upcoming season with even more motivation to prove that he is not only still arguably the most talented quarterback in the league but also that he can lead the franchise to a huge amount of success.

Although the Packers have moved on from veteran wide receiver Jordy Nelson this offseason, Rodgers will still have plenty of talent to throw to in the passing game in Pro Bowl wideout DaVante Adams and Randall Cobb along with free-agent addition Pro Bowl tight end Jimmy Graham. This could see him continue to put up big numbers while possibly push Green Bay back into the playoffs after their first missed trip in nine years.

If he's able to prove he's past his collarbone injury, all of this could quickly shape up to Rodgers putting together a big 2018 season where he's back on top as one of the premier players in the league.
