Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers have suffered through an extremely disappointing 2018 NFL season. It has been a year that saw the Packers struggle from beginning to end and a year that cost former head coach Mike McCarthy his job. Now, the Packers are heading into a new era of football.

Thankfully, the Packers are in good hands. Brian Gutekunst took over as the new general manager for Green Bay and is not afraid to shake things up. He has a different approach than the Packers have had in recent years and will not shy away this offseason to make signings, trades, or other moves necessary to get Green Bay back into Super Bowl contention.

Bleacher Report has suggested one specific move that the Packers should look to make. That move would be acquiring superstar tight end Rob Gronkowski from the New England Patriots.

First, Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels appears to be the front-runner for the Green Bay Packers' head coaching vacancy, according to OddsShark. And while Brady is the GOAT, Aaron Rodgers isn't too shabby.

Finally, the responsibility of being the focal point of the offense would no longer fall on Gronk's shoulders. He and Jimmy Graham could form a devastating duo. Davante Adams is also a true No. 1 wide receiver.

Pairing Gronkowski and Graham could be one of the most bold suggestions that anyone has ever made. They may be past their prime, but two targets the size of Gronk and Graham could wreak havoc on opposing defenses.

Gronkowski has had a bit of a down season with the Patriots in 2018. He has caught 45 passes for 658 yards and three touchdowns in 11 games. Graham, on the other hand, has caught 49 passes for 581 yards and two touchdowns.

Rodgers needs more weapons, that much is clear. Green Bay has Adams, Randall Cobb, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, and Equanimeous St. Brown as their top wide receivers. Geronimo Allison could end up being brought back next season as well.

While the Packers acquiring another star receiver seems to be the mindset of many fans, adding Gronkowski might be an even better fit.

Expect to hear plenty of rumors and speculation about what the Packers should and could do this offseason. This trade idea is simply a suggestion, but Green Bay would be wise to consider looking into the possibility.
