Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers offense are now facing the possibility of being without wide receiver D.J. Moore for the upcoming Week 16 clash with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Moore has been dealing with a hamstring injury since the Panthers' home loss to the Atlanta Falcons in Week 14. Even as he was limited in practice over the week and wound up earning an injury designation of questionable, Panthers head coach Matt Rhule opted to feature him in last week’s road matchup against the Buffalo Bills. Moore played in 91 percent of snaps on offense and came away with six receptions for 48 receiving yards.

Moore is still being hampered by his nagging hamstring issue. The fourth-year wideout was kept out of Carolina's scheduled practice sessions on both Wednesday and Thursday.

Rhule did note during his press conference on Wednesday that he anticipates Moore will be a “game-time decision” for the upcoming NFC South contest against the Buccaneers.

Thus, as Moore has missed back-to-back practices, he could end up being placed an injury designation of questionable for the second straight week.

Moore has dealt with multiple injuries over the year, but he has not missed a single game in the campaign. He has so far recorded 78 receptions, 986 receiving yards and four receiving touchdowns this season.

Regardless of Moore’s availability this week, Newton and company will have much to do in Week 16 to snap their four-game losing streak.
