The Carolina Panthers continue to search for a replacement for Ron Rivera and it seems as if they are leaning towards someone with offensive experience. Among their bevy of upcoming interviews, Carolina plans to interview Josh McDaniels for the team's head coaching job per Albert Breer.

The Panthers are undecided at quarterback with Cam Newton's status with the organization being put into doubt. With the team needing aid on offense, Carolina seems interested in hiring someone who can help improve the offense.

The Panthers have already spoken to Mike McCarthy and Eric Bieniemy for their vacant head coaching spot. But with McCarthy set be the next head coach of the Dallas Cowboys, Carolina's list of potential candidates is growing thinner.

McDaniels is definitely one of the most coveted assistants in the NFL. This is due to his time with the New England Patriots and the success he had as the offensive coordinator.

There are still people who are wary of hiring McDaniels as a head coach once again. Back in 2009, McDaniels spent fewer than two seasons with the Denver Broncos.

As much as he failed with the Broncos, McDaniels has had 10 years to learn from his prior shortcomings. Therefore, David Tepper—the owner of the Panthers—shouldn't be hesitant to hire someone like McDaniels.

Before the Panthers get a chance to host McDaniels for a visit, the New York Giants will get a chance to hire the offensive coordinator. If McDaniels gets hired elsewhere, the Panthers will undoubtedly set their sights on adding Bienemy as the team's next head coach.
