Teddy Bridgewater hasn't been with the Carolina Panthers for more than two months, but he's already making his presence felt. Despite the unusual circumstances of the offseason, Bridgewater has been making an impression on Will Grier.

As the Panthers continue to conduct their virtual offseason program, Grier spoke to Joseph Person of The Athletic about Bridgewater's arrival:

“As for the changes and who’s coming in, I’m super excited to work with Teddy. He’s been in the league for a long time, played with a lot of different guys under different coaches and has found success in different offenses. In our meetings, I can tell he’s a very cerebral guy. He understands football. I’ve already picked up things about his game that I can learn and use in my game, which I’m always doing when I talk to a guy that’s played for a long time. I think he has a special talent. He’s been in this offense before and I’m excited to get to work with him.”

Near the beginning of free agency, the Panthers signed Bridgewater to a three-year, $63 million deal. Soon after, inking him to a contract, Carolina chose to move on from Cam Newton after nine seasons.

As for Grier, he is entering his second season with the Panthers after being selected by the Panthers in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft. In his first year in Carolina, Grier started in two games, throwing for 228 yards and four interceptions.

Given how his rookie season concluded, it's safe to say Grier has plenty to learn before he becomes a serviceable quarterback in the NFL. Nevertheless, Grier is taking notes from Bridgewater this offseason in hopes he can improve his own game.
