Former Los Angeles Clippers teammates Patrick Beverley and Motrezl Harrell shared a nice moment in their first encounter as adversaries. The Clippers took on the Los Angeles Lakers at Staples Center in a preseason match on Friday, marking the first time Bev is seeing Trez up close in Purple and Gold colors.

While most fans and pundits expected the two feisty competitors to give each other the cold shoulder, the warm embrace they gave one another during warm-ups suggests otherwise. The ex-stablemates were even seen exchanging smiles and some pleasantries.

Montrezl Harrell shocked a lot of people when he crossed fences to join the Clips' bitter crosstown rivals Los Angeles Lakers in free agency. Patrick Beverley, who was one of Trez's closest friends with the team, couldn't help but utter an expletive-filled reaction upon hearing the news. Looks like Bev is finally over it judging by his recent interaction with Trez.

Beverley, after all, was one of the Lakers' biggest critics throughout the 2019-20 campaign, especially when the Clippers won their first two encounters against them in their two regular-season games. The Lakers eventually got the last laugh, emerging as the champions inside the bubble at Walt Disney World. The Clips, meanwhile, faltered in the second round of the postseason where they lost a 3-1 advantage over the Denver Nuggets.

Then again, it's just the preseason, so players can afford to dial down their competitive nature just a bit. For sure, Beverley will not be this friendly to Trez throughout their meetings in the upcoming season. Fans won't have to wait long, with Lakers – Clippers being featured on opening night, December 22.
