New England Patriots dual-threat running back James White reacted to a report that NFL teams might fly to road games and come back all in the same day. White, 28, reacted with a single “woozy face” emoji on Twitter.

The NFL season has already been thrown a loop in spite of no regular-season games being canceled. While the league may have been the least affected out of major sports in the United States due to COVID-19, preseason games are already getting cut, and training camp is only starting July 28. A significant change to the travel and lodging routine for NFL teams and players such as the Patriots' running back/wide receiver James White could drastically impact preparation for games.

There is also the question of feasibility, as several NFL clubs have to fly across the country between the east and west coasts for games. These trips don't occur in a single day. For the Patriots, one of the furthest east franchises, traveling to places like Seattle, where they play the Seahawks in Week 2, or Los Angeles, where they play the Chargers and Rams in Weeks 14-15, would be incredibly inconvenient for players and coaches who are used to staying at hotels during road trips.

White, a former fourth-round selection by the Patriots in the 2014 NFL Draft, will enter his seventh year in the professional ranks—all in New England. The huge offensive threat for the Patriots has previously mentioned this offseason his intent on becoming a greater leader for the club. If White's one-emoji tweet reaction to potential major changes to traveling this upcoming season is representative of the locker room, New England is out on traveling to a from games in a single 24 hours.
