The New England Patriots had a chance to win the AFC East once again. However, they ended up losing to the Miami Dolphins in the final game of the season. For that reason, New England won't have any home-field advantage. Mac Jones reacts to the loss as his team prepares for the playoffs.

According to the Boston Herald, Mac Jones feels used two words to describe how he felt after losing to the Dolphins. “Super embarrassing.” That is the best way to summarize the Patriots' performance on Sunday. Miami controlled this matchup from the jump and New England couldn't catch up.

It's not the best way to end a season, as the Patriots were searching for a victory before entering the playoffs. Mac Jones describes how he and his teammates felt after losing to the Dolphins.

“You've got to go out there and do much better than we did today. And it's super embarrassing, honestly, just from my point. Just how I played wasn't good enough. And I can do better, and it starts with me. I'm the quarterback, and that's my job to make people around me have success.”

Mac Jones didn't have the best performance, but it wasn't horrific either. He ended the day with 261 passing yards, a touchdown, and an interception. It wasn't enough to get the job done and it cost the Patriots the AFC East championship.

Luckily for New England, the loss to the Dolphins didn't eliminate them from the postseason. The Patriots are set to take on the Buffalo Bills in the opening round of the playoffs. This should be a great game that comes down to the wire, as New England aims to prove they're the best team in their division.
