New England Patriots safety Patrick Chung may have provided the Los Angeles Rams with some bulletin board material during the Patriots' Super Bowl send-off rally on Sunday morning:

Not that either team needs any sort of motivation for a game of this magnitude, but the Rams will almost certainly have this quote pinned in their locker room somewhere this week.

The Patriots are coming off of a thrilling overtime road win over the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game, and in the week prior to that victory, New England thumped the Los Angeles Chargers by a score of 41-28 in the Divisional Round.

Many felt that this Pats team was one of the weakest groups it had over the last decade, with a whole lot of fans and media pundits picking against the Patriots in their game versus the Chargers and then the following week against the Chiefs.

However, like New England has done so many times, it calmly won both games, getting vintage drives from Tom Brady in the fourth quarter and overtime last Sunday to pave its way to its ninth Super Bowl since Brady took over under center during the 2001-02 campaign.

And who did Brady and Bill Belichick play in their first Super Bowl back in February 2002? Yup: the Rams. Of course, the Rams were from St. Louis at that point, but hey; it's still the same franchise.

That year, though, the Patriots were massive underdogs, as most people were picking the Rams. This time around, the majority of people expect New England to win yet again.
