The New England Patriots were already beating down the Miami Dolphins, but it got even uglier in the fourth quarter. Stephon Gilmore intercepted Ryan Fitzpatrick for a pick-six touchdown.

Coming into this game, the Patriots were heavily favored to win by double-digits. That quickly turned into a reality with New England taking a 23-0 lead into the fourth quarter.

Then, in typical Fitzpatrick fashion, the veteran quarterback proceeded to make a bad read and throw it into tight coverage. Among the bodies, Gilmore emerged to intercept the pass and he basically walked into the end zone.

The Dolphins already were a long-shot to win this game but targeting Gilmore isn't a wise plan to attempt a comeback. Since joining the Patriots in 2017, Gilmore has gradually become one of the best cover corners in the NFL.

In his first two seasons with the team, the All-Pro cornerback has combined for four interceptions, 29 deflections, and 95 tackles. His best season came last year where he was vital to the Patriots winning their sixth Super Bowl in franchise history.

As for the Dolphins, fans in Miami better get used to this sight with Fitzpatrick under center. It won't be long until the Dolphins decide to turn to Josh Rosen as their signal-caller this season.
