Heading into their matchup with the New England Patriots, the Dallas Cowboys knew that a certain defender would be a problem. That defender being All-Pro cornerback Stephon Gilmore, who has been on a rampage as arguably the best corner in the NFL in 2019.

In the second quarter of their highly anticipated bout, Gilmore made his presence known to quarterback Dak Prescott and the Cowboys. Watch below:

On a third down, Prescott thought he had go-to target Amari Cooper open. Or so he thought. The quarterback slung the slick ball (on a rainy afternoon) to Cooper, only for No. 24 to come down with it. Gilmore, as he tends to do, made a play on the ball, diving for an interception.

Gilmore is an integral piece to the Patriots' success as a passing defense. Since signing with them in 2017, he has acted the part as their top shadow cornerback.
