Between the years of 2001 and 2014, Pau Gasol only played for two NBA teams: the Memphis Grizzlies and the Los Angeles Lakers. The 36-year-old’s brother, Marc Gasol, is currently the franchise player for Memphis, so he was naturally eager to watch Sunday’s game between the two teams.

The Grizzlies social media team was quick to react, asking the Spanish legend the million dollar question:

In response, Pau made it clear that family always comes first, despite his successful tenure in California:
@memgrizz always pulling for @MarcGasol!

The NBA twitter account then offered Pau some advise that he was happy to take:

Much to Pau's delight, the Grizzlies ended up securing the 103-100 victory at the FedEx Forum and his brother put together an impressive stat line of 19 points, eight assists and three rebounds.
