New Orleans Pelicans star Anthony Davis is widely considered one of the top players in the NBA. The fact that his team rarely gets under the national spotlight is perhaps a huge injustice to his other-worldly skills.

But let's be clear: Davis puts up numbers. Big numbers. And on Sunday, he did it again, making NBA history in the process.

Davis, in a 123-118 overtime victory over the New York Knicks, became the only player in NBA history besides Hakeem Olajuwon to amass at least 45 points, 15 rebounds, three blocks, and three steals in multiple games, per Basketball-Reference. Olajuwon did it twice in his career, and the Pelicans star on Sunday also did it for his second time.

Just thinking about that feat is kind of crazy. Davis now shares as a statistic with the Hall of Famer, probably the best center all of all time. Other players on that list who have competed the feat once are Larry Nance, Dirk Nowtizki, and David Robinson. Only one of those players is still suiting up for an NBA team.

Davis is a special talent, and he continues to show the NBA world just how good he is. Unfortunately, he has been in a situation with the Pelicans where he has not won much of anything.

He recently signed a contract extension with the Pelicans. So there won't be much winning coming in his future, unless New Orleans turns things around. Perhaps securing DeMarcus Cousins' services for the foreseeable future is the first big step.
