The arrival of David Griffin to the New Orleans Pelicans reportedly hasn't changed Anthony Davis' trade stance, according to Fletcher Mackel of NBC NOLA.

The Pelicans hired Griffin as their new executive vice president of basketball operations. He has a close relationship with Davis' agent, Rich Paul of Klutch Sports.

However, it doesn't appear Davis will have a change of heart:

Davis requested a trade near the February trade deadline. The Pelicans had trade discussions with the Los Angeles Lakers, but opted not to move him. Davis can become an unrestricted free agent in the summer of 2020.

The Boston Celtics and Lakers will probably reach out to the Pelicans this summer. Once Kyrie Irving opts out of his 2019-20 player option with the Celtics, Boston becomes eligible to trade for Davis. Everyone knows Celtics general manager Danny Ainge has been enamored with Davis for years.

Davis played in 56 games in 2018-19. The six-time All-Star averaged 25.9 points, 12.0 rebounds and 3.9 assists while shooting 51.7 percent from the field, 33.1 percent from beyond the arc and 79.4 percent from the free-throw line.

It's assumed Davis wants to play for the Lakers so he can team up with LeBron James, but at this point, AD just wants out of New Orleans.
