The New Orleans Pelicans have had plenty of time to rest after sweeping the Portland Trail Blazers 4-0 in their first-round series.

They are using this time to try and get their bodies right, and also watch film on their next opponent. They will be facing the winner of the series between the San Antonio Spurs and the Golden State Warriors. The Warriors currently have a 3-1 series lead and can clinch on Tuesday night with a win.

For point guard Rajon Rondo of the Pelicans, the Warriors might as well have already clinched though, because that's the only team he is watching in his film study.

Chances are good that the Warriors will win, but if the Spurs were able to come back and somehow steal the series that would give the Spurs a lot of bulletin board material for their second-round matchup. Counting a team out is never good, especially a veteran team like the Spurs.

If the Warriors are the team to advance though, it should make for a very good second-round matchup. A few weeks ago not many people would be saying that but with the way, the Pelicans dominated the Trail Blazers in their opening round series it opened up a lot of eyes.

The Pelicans were able to slow down Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum and that made all the difference. Against the Warriors, they are going to have to find a way to do the same to Klay Thompson, Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry if he is back.
