NBA Hall of Famer Charles Barkley says New Orleans Pelicans superstar big man Anthony Davis handled his trade request wrong and that it's going to come back to haunt him.

Davis requested a trade very close to the Feb. 7 trade deadline. The Pelicans didn't trade The Brow, and now AD has to play the rest of the season for a team he doesn't want to be on.

New Orleans will trade Anthony Davis in the summer, but the rest of this season is going to be very awkward in The Big Easy. The previous two games are an example of what is going to transpire for the remainder of the regular season.

Davis scored 14 and three points in the last two games. The six-time All-Star is being forced to play because the Pelicans would be punished for resting a healthy player on purpose. However, if AD gets hurt, it would be devastating to his trade value.

Not to mention that Davis is probably not with the team mentally and is not fully focused since he doesn't want to play for the franchise.

Charles Barkley thinks Davis and Rich Paul of Klutch Sports played this whole situation wrong. In hindsight, Davis should have just requested a trade last summer.
