The Detroit Pistons are listing All-Star power forward Blake Griffin as active for Game 3 of their first round series against the Milwaukee Bucks.

Griffin didn't play in Games 1 and 2 because of a left knee issue. The Pistons got blown out in both games.

Griffin is the best player on the Pistons. The six-time All-Star averaged 24.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game during the regular season. Griffin shot 46.2 percent from the field, 36.2 percent from beyond the arc and 75.3 percent from the free-throw line.

The Pistons are probably going to lose to the Bucks, but they might be able to steal one game at home if Griffin is able to play. Detroit is in the playoffs for the first time since 2016. They got swept by the Cleveland Cavaliers that year. It would be nice if the Pistons can at least win one game in this year's postseason.

Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo is averaging 25.0 points per game through the first two games of the series. If Griffin plays in Game 3, Giannis will have to guard him. One of the reasons Giannis has dominated the series so far is because he hasn't been exerting a lot of energy on defense.

That would change with Griffin in the lineup.
