Dwane Casey is mixing things up for the Detroit Pistons this year. Experimenting with different types of lineups is one of the ways he's shaking things up. According to Rod Beard of the Detroit News, Casey is featuring Reggie Jackson off the ball more, using guard-oriented lineups and giving Langston Galloway an opportunity.

Casey is still juggling his rotations and trying to figure out what lineups work best. That's par for the course at this stage in the season — especially with a brand new head coach.

The Pistons have a unique roster. They have an imposing frontcourt with Blake Griffin and Andre Drummond. They also have a bunch of guards fighting for minutes in the backcourt, including Jackson, Galloway, Reggie Bullock, and Luke Kennard. Casey is still trying to find the right balance for his squad.

Detroit is off to a nice start. The Pistons have won their first two games and are looking to build some early momentum as they prepare to begin a three-game home stand against the Philadelphia 76ers, Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics. All three teams made the playoffs last season. While the Cavs took a big step back after the departure of LeBron James, this is still an important early test for Casey and his squad.

Casey, the reigning Coach of the Year, is hoping to help the Pistons return to the playoffs for the first time since 2016 and second time since 2009. The Pistons have struggled for the better part of this decade and hope their new coach can figure out how to change that.
