It appears as though the Las Vegas Raiders are placing more emphasis on rushing the passer next season. According to a Tuesday evening report from Jerry McDonald of Oakland Tribune and Bay Area Newspaper Group, the Raiders have come to terms with veteran defensive end Carl Nassib.

However, the financial and logistical terms of the newly inked pact have yet to be reported while the free agent signing has yet to be formally announced by the AFC West franchise either.

Nassib, who has previously suited up for both the Cleveland Browns and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, has already appeared in 59 career regular season games to coincide with his 32 starts. During this span, which was split evenly between the aforementioned Browns and Buccaneers, the 26-year-old Nassib produced 18 sacks, three forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and 11 pass defenses.

Originally selected by the Browns in the third round of the 2016 NFL Draft out of Penn State, Nassib went on to spend the first two seasons of his NFL career as a member of the struggling AFC North franchise. However, he was then claimed off of waivers by the Buccaneers upon the Browns creating the tandem of Myles Garrett and Olivier Vernon at the defensive end position. Going on to spend two seasons with Tampa Bay before ultimately making his way to “Sin City,” Nassib can no doubt serve as an immediate force for the Raiders and head coach Jon Gruden.

The Raiders will need all the help the team can get along the defensive front as well, considering Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes isn't going anywhere anytime soon.
