The Antonio Brown trade to the Oakland Raiders sent shockwaves throughout the NFL. Brown's agent—Drew Rosenhaus—was key to the deal being able to get done.

Rosenhaus went on NFL Network to talk about how the deal got completed. According to Rosenhaus, the Raiders were given permission to speak to Brown 48 hours ago.

The deal was moving rather quickly, where Rosenhaus stated that Mike Mayock acted like a “veteran NFL GM” throughout the whole process. He also spoke highly of Derek Carr.

Mayock is in his first season as the Raiders GM after being with NFL Network for plenty of years as an NFL Draft analyst. Now, he must build upon the Brown trade by nailing the 2019 NFL Draft.

If you would've told me five years ago that Jon Gruden would coach a team that had Mayock as the GM, I'd call you certifiably insane. However, it's become a reality in just a couple of years for the Raiders.

Going back to Rosenhaus, he did a masterful job of supplying Brown with the demands he had. Brown wanted a new deal and a situation where he was wanted.

He got both of those by getting shipped to Oakland. Brown goes from having no guaranteed money on his contract to having $30 million with his new deal.

The Steelers lost the battle against Brown and received little in return. Getting a third and fifth-round pick for one of the best wide receivers in football seems like a bold move.

Either way, it'll be years until we get to fully analyze who won this trade but for now, the team residing in Oakland has vastly improved their roster.
