Oakland Raiders head coach Jon Gruden thinks that left tackle Kolton Miller can be a star. Miller was selected No. 15 overall in the 2018 NFL Draft to replace left tackle Donald Penn, one of the game's best. At 6-foot-9, Miller is a towering force on the offensive line.

Many pundits were skeptical about Penn being moved to the right tackle spot, but Miller has shown that he can hold his own at the important position so far.

Gruden has been impressed with Miller's play so far. From Tyler Smith of Silver and Black Pride:

“We think he’s a long-term, big-time player for us at a critical position. That’s why we drafted him. His range, not only as a pass protector but you saw him get out on the quick screens. He’s got tremendous athleticism and he’s just getting started. It’s exciting,” said Gruden.

The Raiders are 0-2, but Miller received praise from Von Miller after their 20-19 loss to the Denver Broncos. Denver's Miller is one of the best pass-rushers in the game, and he proclaimed that the young Raider was the best tackle in the 2018 NFL Draft.

Miller has allowed two pressures and zero sacks in his first two NFL games. He has actually outplayed Penn so far, who gave up five pressures and a sack against the Broncos. It looks like the Raiders' new blind side protection is the real deal.

In Week 3, Derek Carr should try to take advantage of this talented rookie to secure a win against the Miami Dolphins. The Dolphins are 2-0 and will use Cameron Wake and Robert Quinn to bring pressure.
