Despite the Oakland Raiders losing their last two games, Josh Jacobs has been showcasing why he was a first-round pick. As a result, Jacobs was given the Offensive Rookie of the Month Award for the month of November.

Over the course of November, Jacobs rushed for a grand total of 337 yards on 77 attempts and three touchdowns. The rookie rusher also tacked on seven receptions for 44 yards in the four games during the month of November.

When the Raiders chose to draft Jacobs in the first round, Jon Gruden immediately stated that he expects Jacobs to win the NFL's Offensive Rookie of the Year Award. Currently, the Alabama product has a very good chance of making his coach right.

Altogether, Jacobs has his first 1,000-yard season under his belt as he already has 1,061 rushing yards and seven touchdowns on the ground. As for his receiving numbers, he has flashed potential with 18 receptions for 146 yards.

Without a doubt, the Raiders' first-year running back is the leading candidate as the NFL's Offensive Rookie of the Year. The only other player who could receive votes could be Kyler Murray of the Arizona Cardinals.

But with Murray's recent performance in Week 13, Jacobs appears to be running away with the honors. In his first season in the NFL, Jacobs is showing that he can be one of the best running backs in the league for years to come.

While the Raiders' playoff hopes are hanging in the balance, at least Jacobs is being rewarded for his play on the field.
