Derek Carr is heading into a pivotal season with the Las Vegas Raiders in 2020. If he falters, he could be replaced in the near future. As a matter of fact, an NFL executive believes Las Vegas would be a ‘prime' destination for Aaron Rodgers.

First and foremost, it's important to note that a lot would need to happen for Rodgers to wind up in Las Vegas. But after seeing Tom Brady leave the New England Patriots after 20 years, anything is possible.

Of course, the only reason people believe Rodgers could leave the Green Bay Packers is due to the results of the 2020 NFL Draft. While it was assumed that Green Bay would add an offensive weapon for Rodgers in the first round, they traded up to select Jordan Love.

Seeing that Love was one of the top quarterback prospects, it appears the Packers are preparing for life after Rodgers. The move to draft Love probably didn't sit well with the veteran. Even Brett Favre believes Rodgers is going to end his career elsewhere after Green Bay's decision to take Love.

As for the Raiders, Carr has been inconsistent under Jon Gruden and there have been rumblings of them finding his replacement since last year. At the same time, Las Vegas' new-look offense could entice Rodgers to join them. However, for Rodgers to suit up for the Raiders, he would need to be traded.

Currently, it's tough to gauge whether or not the Packers would entertain a trade involving Rodgers. In the event that Green Bay struggles in 2020, the whispers of the veteran QB being traded — possibly to the Raiders — are going to grow louder.
