The Oakland Raiders took a 28-10 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 2. However, rookie running back Josh Jacobs continued the strong start to his career.

Jacobs had possibly the highlight of the day for Oakland, by breaking off a massive 51-yard run.

The running back ended the day with 99 rushing yards on just 12 carries. If Oakland had been in the game a little more, it's safe to assume Jacobs would've gotten a few more carries and surpassed 100 rushing yards for the first time in his NFL career.

It's still hard to not be impressed though. In Week 1, Jacobs ran the ball 23 times for 85 yards and two touchdowns. He even added one reception for 28 yards. This week he didn't score, but he showed a lot of burst and really bumped up that yards per carry number.

Although the Raiders, lost – they are 1-1 on the year. The potential is there, and for the offense it all starts with Jacobs. His bruising runs can set the tone for the offense and he proved that with this massive run against Kansas City.

Through two weeks, Jacobs has 184 yards and two touchdowns. That puts him on pace for 1,472 yards and 16 touchdowns in a full season.

Yes, projections aren't always accurate or the best thing to go off of. However, it's hard not to be excited about the potential in Jacobs if you're a fan of the Raiders (or football in general).

The future of Oakland is here, and he's a bowling ball of a running back who will gladly run right through a defense.
