Event Details
Rainbow Six Siege introduces the Rengoku Limited Time Event – a Japanese Samurai themed game mode that should make the mains of new operator Azami feel right at home. The 5v5 control area game mode lets players compete in a very fast-paced game mode that is very different from the usual suspenseful R6 Siege game mode. The game mode features unique loadouts – one-hit kill explosive Kiba on top of shotguns and pistols. Fuze, Osa, Rook, and Thunderbird can choose between a Fire or Poison Kiba, while Twitch, Capitão, Zofia, Kapkan, Bandit, and Maestro can choose between the Flashback or Knockback Kiba to unleash the ultimate chaos.
While we did say that Azami mains will feel right at home in this event, the operator herself won't be getting any of these unique Kiba loadouts.
Event Background
This Season, Rainbow Six Siege presents an event watched over by The Moon herself.
An eternal battle between The Sun goddess and The Storm god rages on. They call upon their mortal followers to capture the Altar’s Sacred Flames. Imbued with ancient spirits and armed with powerful kunai, operators have been cast into the roles of The Devoted and The Possessed. It is now a frenzied race to find the flames, capture the altars, and gain favor from the gods to obtain freedom.
Join this celestial battle and escape the chains of purgatory. Welcome to Rengoku!
Match Rules
Set in Japan, Rengoku unveils a temple in the sky and a fight for eternity, where Operators are Samurai warriors possessed by spirits fighting for the honor of the gods in a revisited Skyscraper map. In the 5v5 control mode, players must stay near altars for five seconds unopposed to score control points or steal control points from the opposing team – the first team to reach 300 points wins the match. Every two minutes, the control points will change location.
Operator Alter Egos
The Operators are divided into two groups of warriors and representing The Sun and The Storm, embodying alter egos in the Rengoku Limited Time Event.
On one side we have The Devoted, vying for The Sun’s victory:
- Fuze as Homura
- Capitao as Masurao
- Zofia as Kagerou
- Twitch as Kagaribi
- Osa as Kasumi
In opposition, we have The Possessed, working for The Storm’s triumph:
- Bandit as Ikazuchi
- Maestro as Mononofu
- Kapkan as Hagane
- Thunderbird as Taoyame
- Rook as Tachikaze
Exclusive Skins and Cosmetics
This event brings with it the Rengoku Collection, which contains uniforms, headgear, weapon skins and Operator Card Portraits for the Rengoku competitors. Rengoku also introduces the Battlefield Spirit Bundle which includes a signature weapon skin, a universal attachment skin, charm and background. The Rengoku Collection packs can be obtained by completing the special Event Challenges, or by purchasing them for 300 R6 Credits, or 12,500 Renown each. The individual Bundles may also be bought directly for 1680 R6 Credits each.
