Los Angeles Rams superstar Aaron Donald is facing assault charges after an alleged altercation with a man at an after-hours club in the early hours of April 11, according to Mick Stinelli of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Pittsburgh attorney Todd Hollis is representing DeVincent Spriggs, who was reportedly left with a concussion and other injuries. A photo of Spriggs was released to show the damage:

Spriggs — who's not from Pennsylvania — intends to request that police file charges.

The Rams released a statement:

The 6-foot-1, 285-pound Donald is a native of the Pittsburgh area. He grew up there and then starred at Pitt before making his way to the NFL, where he has dominated with the Rams since coming into the NFL as the No. 13 pick in 2014 and winning Rookie of the Year.

The 29-year-old is arguably the best defensive player in the NFL. Donald just won Defensive Player of the Year for the third time in the last four years, and he has made the Pro Bowl all seven seasons while earning First-Team All-Pro honors six years in a row. He helped lead the Rams to the Super Bowl at the end of the 2018 season, which saw him lead the NFL in sacks.
