Robert Woods and the Los Angeles Rams were able to come to an agreement on a four-year, $65 million extension on Friday. Besides the numbers on the surface, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport revealed the full details of Woods' new contract with the Rams.

In his new extension with Los Angeles, Robert Woods has a chance to earn $68 million over the four years. The versatile wideout also will garner $32 million in guarantees, along with money that is going to be instilled in the existing years of his current deal.

When Robert Woods joined Los Angeles in 2017, he signed a five-year, $34 million deal after leaving the Buffalo Bills. Not long after he signed with them, the Rams realized that they had Woods at a bargain price comparative to his contributions on the field.

Heading into the 2020 season, Robert Woods posted back-to-back seasons of 80+ receptions and 1,000+ receiving yards. To kick off the season in Week 1 on Sunday, Woods recorded six receptions for 105 yards against the Dallas Cowboys.

As Rapoport iterates, Robert Woods will get $4.5 million in new money in the two years of his existing contract. Furthermore, the first new year of his contract will be worth $13.5 million. Altogether, the USC product will receive $18 million in new money from now through the 2022 season.

In his first three seasons with the Rams, Robert Woods has shown that he has well-deserving of a raise from his original contract. After his new deal with Los Angeles on Friday, Woods becomes one of the highest-paid wide receivers in the NFL and gets some money upfront in the coming years.
