Veteran pass rusher Leonard Floyd is now officially a member of the new-look Los Angeles Rams after coming over to the West Coast via free agency earlier this offseason. Previously a member of the Chicago Bears to begin his professional tenure, the former first-round NFL Draft pick is currently gearing up to serve as a key cog of the Rams' defensive front during what will become his first go-round in Los Angeles in 2020.

Not only that, but Floyd hopes to “dominate” alongside his fellow Rams defenders come next season.

“I just want to come in and play at my level and try to help the team win games and try to dominate on defense,” Floyd recently said during a Monday conference call.

Of course, the Rams already possess All-Pro defensive tackle Aaron Donald, who anchors the team's defense and especially its defensive front, while Floyd and his versatility will be asked to come in to help further disrupt opposing backfields.

“I’m a guy that can do more than one thing on the field,” Floyd added. “I can set the edge in the run. I can drop in coverage, and I’m coming to LA to continue to work on my pass rush, to elevate that even more.”

It is no wonder that Los Angeles sought out additional help at the edge rusher position this offseason, though, as former Jacksonville Jaguars and Rams pass rusher Dante Fowler Jr. signed a free-agent contract with the Atlanta Falcons. Not only that, but the NFC West division certainly got a whole lot better this offseason.
