The Los Angeles Rams once again showed resiliency and character, coming from behind to defeat the Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl LVI. After Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp caught the leading touchdown pass, it was on Los Angeles' defense to close the game.

Aaron Donald ended up making the two plays that closed it our for the Rams. Los Angeles head coach Sean McVay addressed Donald's late-game performance afterward.

After Donald stuffed Bengals running back Semaje Perine for no gain on third and one, the game came down to one play. The Rams head coach referenced the fact that he was mic'd up and we all can go check it out. According to McVay, he called it. He told someone on the sidelines that Aaron Donald is going to close out the game right now.

Then he did. Aaron Donald blew through the Bengals beleaguered offensive line. He got hold of Cincinnati quarterback Joe Burrow, flung him around, forcing his pass to fall incomplete.

McVay then said “Aaron Donald is the F'In man.”

“AD” as he has come to be known, was quiet for much of the game. The Bengals were using double teams for the majority of the game, neutralizing him. Midway through the third quarter, The Rams All-Pro defensive lineman chased down Burrow, shoving him out of bounds. The Bengals players took exception to that and a scuffle ensued. That appeared to light a fire in Donald.

He picked up his second sack of the game later on that drive. From the point forward, the Rams defensive line dominated the game, led by Donald.
