Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley has looked much more like his old self over the last several weeks, most recently carrying the ball 23 times for 79 yards and a touchdown in a 28-12 win over the Seattle Seahawks this past Sunday.

Quarterback Jared Goff was loving Gurley's touchdown in the game, in which Gurley stiff-armed a defender en route to a score. Afterward, Goff said it was “vintage Todd,” which Gurley apparently didn't take too kindly to.

“Sounds like I suck and then I made a good play,” Gurley said of Goff's comments, according to Lindsey Thiry of ESPN.com. “So, yeah, I guess so.”

As for the stiff-arm?

“Not my first time stiff-arming nobody,” Gurley said. “Just a regular stiff-arm.”

Gurley's usage has seen a dramatic uptick in three of the past four weeks, as he logged 25, 19 and 23 carries in Weeks 11, 13 and 14, respectively.

That comes after failing to register 20 rushing attempts in any of the first 10 weeks of the season.

On the 2019 campaign overall, Gurley has totaled 721 yards and nine touchdowns while averaging 4.1 yards per carry. In addition, he has tallied 26 catches for 168 yards and a score.

Not exactly the numbers we have grown to expect from the three-time Pro Bowler, but his workload over the last several weeks could be an indication that the 25-year-old is getting healthier.

Remember: last year, Gurley suffered a knee injury in Week 15 that knocked him out for the final two contests of the regular season and limited him during the playoffs, and many felt it was an issue that could plague Gurley through 2019.

Whether or not it has seriously bothered the halfback is something only Gurley would know, but the Rams certainly seem more confident in him of late.
