The motto in Toronto these days seems to be “Bring back Vince Carter”.

Just days ago, it was reported that Masai Ujiri, the Toronto Raptors' general manager, said that “Vince Carter will be home in Toronto”, and now it’s rapper and Raptors ambassador Drake’s turn to express his longing for Half Man Half Amazing.

Drake spoke about the matter during a screening of The Carter Effect at the Toronto International Film Festival held in the city he suited up for in his first six seasons in the NBA.

“It would be amazing, hopefully, for Vince to give us one last chance to not just give him a standing ovation for one night or two nights out of the year,” Drake said.

Vince Carter and the Raptors parted ways on bitter terms when the former Slam Dunk champion was traded to the New Jersey Nets in 2004. But as time went by, both sides have softened up on their stances. The Raptors even gave Carter a video tribute in a visit to Toronto in 2014.

Carter signed one-year $8 million deal with the Sacramento Kings over the summer, and who knows, maybe after that contract expires, Vinsanity will reunite with the Raptors for one last ride.
