The Toronto Raptors are reportedly interested in adding an elite shooting guard by the Feb. 7 trade deadline, according to Ken Berger of Bleacher Report.

The Raptors have previously been linked to Washington Wizards shooting guard Bradley Beal. If Washington decides to part ways with Beal, an NBA executive thinks Toronto can offer the Wizards a trade package of Jonas Valanciunas, Delon Wright and a first-round pick.

In the East, Toronto and Boston are among the most motivated teams to come calling, for obvious but unique reasons. The Raptors have made it known in front-office circles that they're interested in adding an elite shooting guard, rival executives say.

A package including Jonas Valanciunas, Delon Wright and a first-round pick might be a sensible starting point to the discussion, one of the execs said.

If the Raptors were somehow able to acquire Beal, they would have a lethal Big Three of Kawhi Leonard, Beal and Kyle Lowry. Toronto has the best record in the NBA right now and adding Beal would arguably make them the front runner to win the championship, yes, even over the Golden State Warriors.

By all accounts, though, the Wizards are opposed to trading Beal, but things could change as we get closer to the trade deadline.
