If the Toronto Raptors are unable to play their home games in Canada during the 2020-21 season, Nashville is among the cities being considered as a temporary home for them, according to Adam Vingan of The Athletic.

Due to COVID-19, travel into Canada has been banned from the United States. The Raptors are the lone team in the NBA that doesn't play home games in America.

Nashville is among the cities being considered as a temporary home for the NBA’s Toronto Raptors, according to a source with knowledge of the team’s plans.

Raptors officials visited Nashville earlier this week, the source said. Bridgestone Arena, home to the NHL’s Predators, regularly hosts the SEC men’s basketball tournament.

Now that the 2020-21 season is set to start on Dec. 22, the Raptors' home for the campaign is the biggest obstacle for the NBA to solve. Most people around the league believe Nick Nurse's group may have to be a U.S.-based club due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

It's going to be interesting to see what happens with the Raptors, who are one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference. Obviously, players on the team are going to pay attention to what the league decides to do since it's such a big choice.

In 2019-20, the Raptors racked up the second-best record in the East. They fell to the Boston Celtics in the 2020 Eastern Conference Semifinals in seven epic games.
