Jeremy Lin made his Toronto Raptors debut on Wednesday, and upon entering the game for the first time at home, Lin received a standing ovation from the Raptors faithful.

Lin was waived the Atlanta Hawks on Feb. 11. The veteran point guard signed with the Raptors and will back up Kyle Lowry. Toronto needed point guard depth since they are going to be without Fred VanVleet for the next five weeks.

In 51 games this season, Jeremy Lin is averaging 10.7 points, 2.3 rebounds and 3.5 assists per contest. The 30-year-old Harvard graduate is shooting 46.6 percent from the field, 33.3 percent from beyond the arc and 84.5 percent from the free-throw line.

The Raptors have some of the best fans in the world, and Lin saw that first-hand on Wednesday. Marc Gasol, whom Toronto acquired from the Memphis Grizzlies, also got a standing ovation when he made his home debut.

Lin is joining a team which has the second-best record in the Eastern Conference standings. He's never been on a team this good, so it has to be an exciting time for California native.

Jeremy Lin has career averages of 11.8 points, 2.8 rebounds and 4.4 assists in 457 games with the Golden State Warriors, New York Knicks, Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Lakers, Charlotte Hornets, Brooklyn Nets and Hawks.
