The Baltimore Ravens aren’t done retooling their receiving corps just yet. Even after adding veterans Michael Crabtree and John Brown in free agency, they’re still trying out some other free-agent wideouts. They just gave Willie Snead a try-out on Friday. And as it turns out, they also did the same to Michael Floyd, per ESPN’s Field Yates.

Source: the Ravens tried out former Vikings WR Michael Floyd. First known suitor for Floyd to this point in free agency.

Floyd, 28, was a former first-round pick by the Arizona Cardinals in 2012. He was a productive player during his first four years in the league as he racked up 209 catches for 3,293 yards and 19 touchdowns in his first 63 games. That includes a 1,000-yard season in his sophomore year in 2013.

However, his production dipped significantly during the 2016 season, and he was subsequently cut later in the season following a DUI arrest. He was claimed off waivers by the New England Patriots, and he went on to win a Super Bowl ring with them later that year.

Floyd spent the 2017 season with the Minnesota Vikings, but he was quickly suspended for the first four games of the year after another substance abuse violation. He played just 11 games (one start), recording just 10 catches for 78 yards and no touchdowns as he saw limited playing time behind starters Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs.

It remains to be seen whether Floyd is still capable of capturing his past form with the Cardinals. But with the Ravens still in need of more receiving options, Baltimore could be the ideal landing spot for him to at least show what he’s got to offer.
