Baltimore Ravens All-Pro Eric Weddle is still playing at a high level but said that if the team decides to move on from him, he will probably hang up the cleats and ride off into the sunset.

Weddle still has one year left on his contract worth $6.5 million but the Ravens could cut him and inquire only $1.75 million in dead cap space.

Weddle had said after the Ravens loss to the Los Angeles Chargers, the team he started his career with that there was a chance it was going to be his last game.

In a sitdown before the Ravens showdown with the Chargers Weddle said the one thing that was still driving him was to win a Super Bowl. Via Steve Serby of The New York Post.

“At this point in my career, it’s a chance at the Super Bowl. I’ve done all the individual things of … try to get to the top at your position and establish yourself as one of the better players in this league. To stay there is even harder, which I think I’ve done all my career. What drives me is just leading, and having a chance at the Super Bowl.”

If Sunday's game was his last one in the NFL although he didn't come out with a Super Bowl it was still a special career and there is a chance that one day he could have a bust going up in Canton, Ohio along with some of the best to ever play the game.
