Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh is planning to use a new formation for his offense this season.

In a video conference with reporters on Friday, Harbaugh revealed that the Ravens could possibly use a two-RB formation; however, it won't be a “staple” this year.

The Ravens are stacked with talented running backs on their roster in Mark Ingram II, Gus Edwards, Justice Hill, and JK Dobbins. Furthermore, they have Lamar Jackson, who was the team's leading rusher last season.

With that said, it's not surprising that John Harbaugh will try using a two-RB formation at some point during the season.

It'll be a scary sight for defenses, considering the Ravens' running back group had a phenomenal season in 2019. This past season, their running back group broke the single-season rushing record for total rushing yards. They averaged 204.9 rushing yards per game, totaling 3,296 rushing yards during the regular season.

Nevertheless, when the Ravens decide to use a two-RB formation, they can have a possible formation with Ingram and Edwards in the backfield and Jackson at quarterback.

During this year's NFL Draft, many people were shocked when Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta decided to use their second pick on a running back, considering they already had three other running backs. However, during interviews this offseason, DeCosta has said that he plans to use all four running backs, so maybe this was Baltimore's plan all along
