Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker has responded to recent rumors that he was holding out of training camp until he receives a new contract from the team. The Ravens' star took to Twitter to quell any talk of a possible holdout, clearing the air once and for all. Tucker insisted no such holdout is taking place, despite the rumor which reportedly originated from a Cleveland radio station.

Tucker is the highest-paid kicker in the NFL and his current deal with the Ravens runs through the 2023 season. Considering the terms of his current contract, there's little reason for the star kicker to hold out in hopes of getting a new deal.

In 2022, Tucker is set to earn $3.5 million in base salary, alongside a $1.6 million signing bonus. He signed a four-year, $20 million deal with the Ravens back in 2020, which included $12.5 million in guaranteed money. He'll earn $3.55 million in base salary in 2023.

Tucker made his fifth First-Team All-Pro in 2021, converting on 35-of-37 field goal attempts throughout the season. He also set his career-high with a 66-yard game-winning field goal against the Detroit Lions, in what was a remarkable moment. The ever-reliable 32-year-old was a perfect 32-for-32 on extra-point attempts, capping off another terrific season in Baltimore.

Throughout his career in the Ravens, which has spanned 10 seasons, Tucker has a 91.1% success rate on field-goal attempts and a 99% conversion rate on extra points, solidifying his case as one of the greatest kickers in NFL history. He's being paid as such, so it'd be a real surprise if he was actually holding out from camp. Tucker put that rumor to rest once and for all on Wednesday.
