Baltimore Ravens star quarterback Lamar Jackson missed practice on Wednesday ahead of the team's Week 5 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals. It turns out Jackson is dealing with a knee injury, per ESPN's Adam Schefter, but it's not considered serious.

Per Jamison Hensley of ESPN, Jackson wasn’t at practice during the portion open to reporters, though he did talk to reporters earlier in the day. The reigning MVP said he's not happy with how the offense is playing at the moment:

“No, I’m not happy because I would like to connect with my guys on those passes,” Lamar Jackson said, via ESPN.

“I feel like there are a lot of yards and touchdowns we’ve been leaving on the field when we don’t connect. That’s probably why our passing isn’t where it’s supposed to be. But I feel it’s early in the season.”

The Ravens are ranked 31st in the NFL in passing through the first four weeks of the 2020 season.

However, the Ravens are coming off an easy win over the Washington Football Team in Week 4. Jackson threw for 193 yards and two touchdowns. He also had an impressive touchdown run.

Overall on the season, though, Jackson has thrown for just 769 yards. The Ravens superstar will certainly have to improve his passing numbers if Baltimore wants to win a playoff game this season. They need him to be a true dual-threat quarterback in order to win the Super Bowl.

The Ravens will be favored to defeat Joe Burrow and the Bengals in Week 5, but with the way Jackson and Co. are struggling to pass the ball, anything can happen.

Ultimately, it's good news that Jackson didn't miss Wednesday's practice for anything serious. Let's hope he's back out on the field soon and ready for Week 5.
